Today is an extra exciting Wednesday because there is a very cool styled shoot happening in RVA with some of my work involved (see a sneak peek down below)!
Early in my career, I would provide papers for almost any styled shoot, anywhere. These days, I'm a bit more selective. They're a lot of work! Lately, I prefer teaming with vendors who know my work and trust my style. Now I KNOW that might sound a bit snobbish but I have to say . . . something magic happens when I get to create right from my soul.
On Sunday, I spent the morning in Short Pump's Crate & Barrel for their private registry event! It was extra sweet to be there since Joe & I registered at Crate & Barrel for our wedding 11 years ago. (I swear I had plans to at LEAST do a portrait session for our ten year anniversary, but seriously, where does time go?!)
We had an awesome team of vendors who worked their buns off to create a beautiful, wedding-like atmosphere for couples to shop in!
I will never stop loving these vow keepsakes. Can we start a petition that every newlywed couple have their vows framed like this?!
Special shout out to Courtney Inghram for bringing florals and fabulous greenery to style with some of my favorite invitation suites!
This photo reminds me . . . at the Crate & Barrel event, plenty of brides were asking me about my invitation services, custom watercolors, etc. But do you know what else they asked me about a LOT?! MY HAIR! Of course, I would rather answer questions about my artwork, but all my girls out there know . . . your hair is kind of an art form, too. ;)
My hair routine is actually more low maintenance than it (apparently) looks, so I wrote up some how-to info on Instagram (complete with product photos!). Check it out if you're interested in how often I actually wash it.
Now, speaking of art (that's a hint!), will you just LOOK at this new suite?! I'm obsessed and so, so lucky to be working with David Abel on another styled shoot. You'll never guess where this one is happening or WHAT it's happening with! ;) AH!
I can't wait to see the "real" photos from this shoot! Stay tuned for peeks to hit Instagram!
