Two Tea with Chloe blogs in a row?! I think we're doing pretty well so far, don't you? ;) This past week was full of fun surprises, beautiful paper and watercolors (of course), and a few blonde moments, so get ready!
Let's start with dropping off the day of papers for one my favorite Trump Winery brides, Liz. I adored working with Liz -- we did deckled egdes, a custom watercolor of the winery, hand lettered mirrors, custom paintings of all the University of Richmond landmarks, tags, signs, AH. It was the epitome of what I love doing for brides.
My sweet friend Amanda and I turned this drop off into a road trip and stopped at Pippin Hill for a little early birthday lunch! Pippin Hill has the most amazing cheeseboard and sparkling rosé, so whenever I'm in town, I can't resist.
The road trips didn't stop there though! I ended up returning on the wedding day because we (I) misplaced a calligraphy hanger for a bridesmaid! Like I said earlier, blonde moment! Eeeep. Good thing I love a good drive to Charlottesville! But with mountain views like that, how can you not?
I have to say, when my bride's mom is texting me photos of the wedding day . . . I feel a bit like I've MADE IT as a paper designer!! Just look at how beautiful Liz is...
So, before the multiple road trips, something pretty sweet was happening in the English Tea Paperie office. I was interviewed AND photographed by the Richmond Times-Dispatch for a full page article in the Metro section!! It comes out on June 19th, so be sure to snag a copy and tag @EnglishTeaPaperie!! I think I'll be buying roughly 14 copies, so you better beat me to the newsstands.
They told me my photos were not allowed to look styled, which I understand, but DO YOU KNOW how difficult this was for me to accept?! I did my best. ;)
Can you spot Liz's invitation?!
What else is happening in the ETP household lately? Well, school is out this week, so my tiny Minyon will be back to being my helper! I love having Emma in the office to help with sticking stamps. ;) AND . . . my birthday is coming up at the end of June, so I've been celebrating early. That's right, when you're a small business owner, you squeeze your birthday dinners and desserts in whenever you can . . . even if it's about 16 days early. I THINK that gives me good reason to celebrate for two full weeks, don't you??
But seriously, I'm so grateful for a wonderful group of ladies from my small group who took me out to Kuba Kuba in downtown Richmond last night for an early birthday dinner . . . and lots of wine.
It's been a good week.
Now, for something very important . . . last week's giveaway winner!!! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know there was a $25 Starbucks gift card up for grabs! Drum roll -- Mary Ruth W!! Send me a message and I'll get that to you soon! Happy dance!
Thank you so much to everyone who commented to enter! Keep following @EnglishTeaPaperie for more contest fun in the future. I love a good giveaway!
Happy hump day friend.
